INSTRUCTIONS:
- Prepare the Apples:
- Start by washing and peeling the apples.
- Core the apples and slice them into 1/4-inch thick rings.
- Pat the apple rings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step is crucial for getting a crisp coating.
- Make the Batter:
- In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the dry ingredients.
- In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
- Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms. The batter should be thick enough to coat the apple rings evenly.
- Frying the Apple Rings:
- Heat vegetable oil in a deep skillet or frying pan over medium heat. The oil should be about 1 inch deep. It’s ready when a small drop of batter sizzles and turns golden within a few seconds.
- Dip each apple ring into the batter, making sure it’s fully coated.
- Carefully place the coated apple rings into the hot oil. Fry them in batches, being careful not to overcrowd the pan.
- Fry each side for about 2-3 minutes, or until the rings are golden brown and crispy.
- Use a slotted spoon to remove the fried apple rings from the oil and place them on a plate lined with paper towels to drain excess oil.
- Serving:
- While the apple rings are still warm, you can dust them with powdered sugar for an extra touch of sweetness.
- Serve the Fried Cinnamon Apple Rings immediately while they’re crispy and warm. They’re perfect on their own or with a scoop of vanilla ice cream or a drizzle of caramel sauce.
ENJOY IT 💛
