Fried Cinnamon Apple Rings: A Delightful Treat to Savor

INSTRUCTIONS:

  1. Prepare the Apples:
    • Start by washing and peeling the apples.
    • Core the apples and slice them into 1/4-inch thick rings.
    • Pat the apple rings dry with paper towels to remove excess moisture. This step is crucial for getting a crisp coating.
  2. Make the Batter:
    • In a large mixing bowl, combine the flour, granulated sugar, ground cinnamon, baking powder, and salt. Mix well to evenly distribute the dry ingredients.
    • In a separate bowl, whisk together the egg, milk, and vanilla extract until smooth.
    • Pour the wet ingredients into the dry ingredients and mix until a smooth batter forms. The batter should be thick enough to coat the apple rings evenly.
