Taco pizza – yeah, it’s real! Two of the things I like eating the most can be combined into one dish that makes for a very tasty evening.

I am constantly looking for quick and simple recipes that my family would like to eat. I adore cooking, but since I have four children, I’m always busy, so if I prepare supper, it has to be something that can be done quickly. I stumbled across this recipe for taco pizza using a crescent roll crust a few years ago, and after making a few minor adjustments, it rapidly became a favorite among my family and is now one of the meals that we prepare once a week.

When I cook taco pizza, I never know whether the children or my husband would like it more; I never want to disappoint any of them. They devour it in record time and keep asking for more! Naturally, I get a lot of pleasure out of it as well.

The Mexican taco pizza has a “sauce” made of cream cheese and sour cream, and it has a taste that is reminiscent of spicy tacos. While it is delicious as a typical dinner for a family, it is also fantastic as an appetizer and for parties. Do you share my fondness for recipes that may be adapted to a variety of uses? It will save you a great deal of time as well as work!

And the greatest thing is that you can create a version that is gluten-free with no effort at all!! There are now crescent rolls available that do not contain gluten that may be found in many supermarkets. It is the simplest approach to removing gluten from this recipe. You will also want to verify the rest of the ingredients, although it is expected that none of them contain gluten in their natural state.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

Refrigerated crescent rolls; I used 2 tubes.Of 8-oz each.

An 8-oz Pkg.Of softened cream cheese.

1 Cup.Of sour cream.

Ground beef or ground turkey; you’ll need approx.1 pound.

3 to 4 Tbsp.Of taco seasoning.

A medium chopped tomato.

2 Cups.Of shredded Mexican cheese.

1 Cup.Of shredded lettuce.

FOR SERVING:

Avocado slices.

Shredded lettuce.

Taco sauce.

Hot sauce.

Black beans.

PREPARATION:

Step 1:

Bring the temperature in your oven up to 375 degrees. Now unroll the crescent roll dough, then put it out in a single layer on a large cookie sheet that has not been oiled.

Step 2:

To create a seal, squeeze the spaces between the holes together. Bake for 8 to 10 minutes at 375 degrees Fahrenheit, or until the top is a light golden brown.

Step 3:

While the crescent rolls are baking, combine the cream cheese that has been melted with the sour cream in a mixing bowl. With a whisk, break up any lumps you find. Put aside.

Step 4:

Cook the ground beef until it is browned, then drain it. If you want additional protein, you may add an alternative can of black beans that have been drained.

Step 5:

Add the taco seasoning, as well as a quarter cup of water. Maintain a simmer for three to five minutes, stirring the mixture periodically.

Step 6:

When the baking time for the crescent roll pizza crust has expired, take it out of the oven and lay it aside to cool for three to five minutes. The crescent rolls should be covered in the sour cream mixture that has been mixed.

Step 7:

After the addition of lettuce, tomatoes, cheese, and any other toppings that may be desired, evenly distribute the ground beef mixture over the top of the burger.

Step 8:

You may cut it up into serving-sized pieces and serve it right now, or you can keep it in the refrigerator and use it to make cold taco pizza later.
