Bacon in the Oven: The Easy, Mess-Free Way to Cook Perfect Bacon

Step-by-Step Method

Step 1: Preheat the Oven

Begin by preheating your oven to 400°F (200°C). This temperature is ideal for rendering the fat slowly while crisping the bacon without burning it.


Step 2: Prepare the Baking Sheet

Line a baking sheet with aluminum foil or parchment paper. This step makes cleanup much easier because the bacon fat will collect on the lining instead of sticking to the pan.

If you want extra crispy bacon, place a wire rack on top of the lined baking sheet. The rack allows hot air to circulate around the bacon and lets the grease drip down.
