GARLIC STEAK FOIL PACKETS

HOW TO MAKE GARLIC STEAK FOIL PACKETS

These Garlic Butter Steak and Potato Foil Packets are a simple family meal dish that is perfect for the warm summer months. They come out with a lot of taste that is reminiscent of butter and garlic, which is wonderful. For a quick and easy meal at home or while traveling, you may cook them on the grill, over a campfire, or in the oven.

An easy and delectable supper may be prepared on the grill (or over the fire) by cooking the steak and potatoes together in a foil packet.

It is important to choose a piece of meat that maintains its tenderness when prepared in this manner for this dish. The top sirloin is without a doubt my favorite cut for foil packets, and it is also the cut that I most often use when I prepare them. But other cuts, like ribeye or porterhouse, also work very well. But, they have a greater fat level!

Remove the steak from the foil packets with care, lay it on a dish, and cover it with a new sheet of foil so it may rest while the potatoes finish cooking. This situation can arise for several reasons, but it is less likely to occur if you parboil the potatoes first. Keep cooking the potatoes until they reach the desired doneness.

This is without a doubt one of our most beloved meals to prepare throughout the summer. At the moment, we are enjoying it with a side of fresh green beans that have been picked directly from the garden, either as a green bean salad or as a side dish.

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

1 ½ Lbs.Of sirloin steak.

1 Lbs.Of baby potatoes; I cut them into ½’’ pieces.

A peeled onion – thinly sliced.

1 Tbsp.Of olive oil.

2 Tbsp.Of fresh chopped parsley.

1 Tbsp.Of minced garlic.

1 Tbsp.Of Italian seasoning.

salt and pepper to season.

2 Tbsp.Of butter; cut into cubes.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Cook the sliced potatoes for five minutes in a saucepan of salted boiling water after placing them in the pot.

2nd Step

Immediately remove excess liquid and pour in a large basin. Let it settle for about ten minutes, or until the temperature is suitable for handling.

3rd Step

To prepare the steak; Make the meat into bite-sized chunks 2” inches for well done, 3” inches for medium, 5” for rarer steak. Marinate it if you like.

4th Step

In a large bowl, combine the steak, potatoes, onion, olive oil, parsley, garlic, Italian seasoning, salt, and pepper, and mix everything together well.

5th Step

Place four sheets of aluminum foil, each measuring at least 12 by 12 inches, on the table. Place an equal amount of the steak and potatoes in the center of each of the sheets of aluminum foil.

6th Step

When you have placed the butter cubes on top, fold the foil over the steak and potatoes and make sure the edges are sealed well.
