Why You’ll Love This Recipe

This pull-apart ring is easy to assemble but looks impressive when it comes out of the oven. It also uses ingredients that are easy to find and can be customized with different cheeses, herbs, or fillings.

The combination of savory ham, creamy melted cheese, buttery dough, and garlic seasoning creates a comforting flavor in every bite.

Ingredients

For the Ring

  • 2 cans refrigerated crescent roll dough or refrigerated biscuit dough
  • 8 ounces sliced or diced cooked ham
  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • 1 cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • 4 ounces cream cheese, softened
  • 2 tablespoons chopped fresh parsley
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ¼ teaspoon black pepper

For the Butter Topping

  • 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
  • 1 teaspoon garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried parsley
  • ¼ teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • 2 tablespoons grated Parmesan cheese

Step 1: Prepare the Oven and Pan

Preheat your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Lightly grease a large round baking sheet or pizza pan. You can also place parchment paper on the pan to make cleanup easier.

Give yourself enough room around the center of the pan because the dough will expand slightly as it bakes.

Step 2: Prepare the Filling

Place the softened cream cheese in a medium bowl. Add the shredded mozzarella, cheddar, garlic powder, onion powder, Italian seasoning, black pepper, and chopped parsley.

Mix until the ingredients are evenly combined.

Add the chopped ham and gently fold it into the cheese mixture. Try to distribute the ham throughout the filling rather than leaving large clumps.

The mixture should be thick enough to sit inside the dough without spreading excessively.
