HOW TO MAKE MOM’S FAMOUS CREAM PUFFS
These cream puffs are unlike any others that you have probably tried in the past. The incredible filling that my mother uses is the key ingredient in her renowned cream puffs. Some people will attempt to get away with using boring vanilla pudding as the filling. This time it won’t work. Although this filling is built on the pudding as its foundation, the addition of whipped heavy cream makes it almost impossible to do it wrong. It fulfills every expectation of what a cream puff filling ought to be: it is luxurious, rich, and indulgent. The fact that the shells are so very light also makes them the ideal receptacle in which to store all of that delicious cream.
Even the shells may be prepared in advance and stored in the freezer for later use. Additionally, the cream may be prepared a day in advance if desired. After that, you only need to fill them before serving. Even stuffing them the night before and having them turn out perfectly the following day is something I’ve done. I would suggest that you hold off on adding the powdered sugar for the time being since it has the potential to go bad in the refrigerator. Just before you serve them, shake them or pass them through a tiny sieve to evenly distribute it.
Instead of dusting the tops with powdered sugar, you might drizzle them with melted chocolate. That is never, ever an ideal plan to have! You can see one of these that I made below that has chocolate drizzled on it! Sprinkles would be another fun addition on top, and I bet it would drive the youngsters absolutely wild!

4th Step
Then, using a tablespoon, place the dough onto cookie pans that have been coated with parchment paper. You need eight cookie sheets for good huge ones.
5th Step
And bake for about half an hour at a temperature of 400 degrees. And after it is finished, take it from the oven and allow it to cool completely before storing it.
6th Step
While the puffs are in the oven, you can create the filling by combining the three ingredients and mixing them together with a mixer until you get a smooth consistency.
7th Step
Cut it in half and stuff it with Mom’s filling using a pipe or a scoop. Sprinkle with powdered sugar or drizzle melted chocolate over the top.
