HOW TO MAKE CREAMY CHIP BEEF OVER TOAST
If you’re seeking the ultimate dish to warm you up on a cold night, go no further than this recipe for creamed chipped beef on toast. While at first look it may seem to be an odd meal, there is nothing out of the ordinary about salted meat that is covered in a rich, creamy sauce and that is served over bread that has been toasted.
According to my grandmother, “This dish is really nostalgic and takes me back to breakfasts with my grandparents.” But, before you begin cooking, she does have one crucial point to share with you. “Chipped beef is salty, and normally I don’t need to add any salt to the meal; but, let your tastes be your guide,” she adds. “But, in this case, let your tastebuds be your guide.” You won’t want to season your toast with any more salt than is absolutely necessary, that’s for sure! On the other hand, if you are a fan of savory and salty snacks, then this is the dish that you should be searching for.
You are free to begin preparing this dish at any point now that you have all of your components in order. Put a big pan on top of your burner and melt all of the butter in the skillet while it heats up. After that, crumbled or dry meat should be added, and it should be allowed to simmer for three minutes. In addition to that, you are going to want to toast your bread if you haven’t already done so. Be sure to toast all six pieces of bread so that they are nice and crispy before you begin building the sandwich. Since you will be heaping on meat and gravy, you do not want a flimsy piece of bread at the base of the sandwich.
INGREDIENTS NEEDED:
4 Large spoons.Of softened butter.
Chopped chipped beef.
ΒΌ Cup.Of all-purpose flour.
2 Cups.Of whole milk.
