  • 1 pound beef sausage, sliced or crumbled
  • 1 cup pepperoni slices
  • 1 small onion, finely chopped
  • 1 bell pepper, diced
  • 2 cloves garlic, minced
  • 1 cup tomato sauce
  • 1 teaspoon Italian seasoning
  • ½ teaspoon black pepper
  • ½ teaspoon paprika
  • ½ teaspoon salt (adjust to taste)

For the topping

  • 1 ½ cups shredded mozzarella cheese
  • ½ cup shredded cheddar cheese
  • Extra pepperoni slices for garnish (optional)
  • Fresh parsley for garnish (optional)

Step 1: Prepare the oven and crust

Start by preheating your oven to 375°F (190°C).

Place your deep-dish pie crust into a pie pan if it isn’t already fitted. Press it gently along the bottom and sides to remove any air bubbles. You can lightly prick the bottom with a fork to prevent it from puffing during baking.

Set the crust aside while you prepare the filling.


Step 2: Cook the ground beef

Place a large skillet over medium heat and add the ground beef.

Break the meat apart with a wooden spoon while cooking. Continue cooking for about 5–6 minutes, until the beef is browned and no longer pink.
