No-Bake Peanut Butter Pie: A Creamy, Rich, and Easy Dessert Recipe
No-Bake Peanut Butter Pie is a smooth, creamy, and deeply satisfying dessert made with a buttery cookie crust, a fluffy peanut butter filling, and a chilled finish that requires no oven. It is the perfect recipe for peanut butter lovers because every bite is rich, nutty, sweet, and silky.
This pie is ideal for family gatherings, holidays, summer desserts, potlucks, or anytime you want a simple make-ahead treat. Since it does not need baking, it is also a great option when you want an impressive dessert without complicated steps.
The texture is one of the best parts of this pie. The crust is firm and slightly crunchy, while the filling is light, creamy, and mousse-like. You can serve it plain or decorate it with whipped cream, chocolate drizzle, chopped peanuts, peanut butter cups, or cookie crumbs.
Ingredients
For the Crust
- 2 cups crushed graham crackers, digestive biscuits, or chocolate cookies
- ⅓ cup granulated sugar
- ½ cup melted butter
- A pinch of salt
For the Peanut Butter Filling
- 8 oz cream cheese, softened
- 1 cup creamy peanut butter
- 1 cup powdered sugar
- 1 teaspoon vanilla extract
- 1 ½ cups whipped topping or whipped heavy cream
- ¼ cup heavy cream, optional for a softer texture
For Topping
- Whipped cream
- Chocolate syrup or melted chocolate
- Chopped peanuts
- Crushed cookies
- Mini peanut butter cups
- Chocolate shavings
Step 1: Prepare the Pie Dish
Choose a 9-inch pie dish. A glass pie dish works beautifully because it shows the crust and filling from the side.
Lightly grease the dish with butter or non-stick spray. This helps the crust release more easily when slicing.
Set the dish aside while you prepare the crust.
Step 2: Make the Cookie Crust
Place the graham crackers or cookies in a food processor and blend until they become fine crumbs.
If you do not have a food processor, place the crackers in a sealed plastic bag and crush them with a rolling pin.
Pour the crumbs into a mixing bowl. Add the sugar, melted butter, and a pinch of salt. Stir until the crumbs are evenly coated.
The mixture should look like wet sand and should hold together when pressed.
Step 3: Press the Crust into the Dish
Transfer the crumb mixture into the pie dish.
Press it firmly into the bottom and up the sides of the dish. Use the bottom of a measuring cup or glass to pack it tightly and evenly.
A firm crust is important because it helps the pie hold its shape when sliced.
Place the crust in the refrigerator for at least 20 to 30 minutes while you make the filling.
