  • 2 teaspoons smoked paprika
  • 2 teaspoons garlic powder
  • 1 teaspoon onion powder
  • 1 teaspoon dried thyme
  • 1 teaspoon chili powder (optional)

Optional Barbecue Glaze

  • 1 cup barbecue sauce
  • 1 tablespoon honey
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce

Equipment Needed

  • Large baking tray or roasting pan
  • Aluminum foil
  • Small mixing bowl
  • Pastry brush
  • Meat thermometer
  • Sharp knife

Step 1: Prepare the Ribs

Remove the beef ribs from the refrigerator about 30 minutes before cooking to allow them to come closer to room temperature. Pat the ribs dry using paper towels, which helps the seasoning stick and promotes better browning.

If there is a thin silver membrane on the back of the ribs, gently loosen it with a knife and peel it away. Removing the membrane allows the seasonings to penetrate the meat more effectively.


Step 2: Season the Meat

In a small bowl, combine:

  • Garlic powder
  • Onion powder
  • Thyme
  • Chili powder (if using)

Step 3: Preheat the Oven

Preheat your oven to 300°F (150°C).
