Cinnamon Sweet Bread

Instructions:

1. Preheat Oven:

  • Set the oven to 350°F (175°C) and grease and flour a 9×5-inch loaf pan.

2. Mix Dry Ingredients:

  • In a large bowl, whisk together flour, sugar, baking powder, baking soda, salt, and cinnamon.

3. Mix Wet Ingredients:

  • In another bowl, whisk melted butter, eggs, milk, and vanilla extract until combined.

4. Combine Ingredients:

  • Slowly pour the wet mixture into the dry ingredients, stirring just until incorporated. Avoid overmixing to keep the bread soft and fluffy.

5. Bake the Bread:

  • Pour the batter into the prepared loaf pan and smooth the top. Bake for 50–60 minutes, or until a toothpick inserted in the center comes out clean. If the top starts browning too fast, cover loosely with foil.

6. Add Cinnamon Sugar Topping:

  • While the bread is still warm, brush the top with melted butter. Mix sugar and cinnamon, then sprinkle evenly over the loaf.

7. Cool and Serve:

  • Let the bread cool in the pan for 10–15 minutes, then transfer to a wire rack. Slice and enjoy warm or at room temperature.

Tips & Variations:

  • Extra sweet: Drizzle a simple glaze of powdered sugar and milk over the top.

  • Nutty twist: Sprinkle chopped pecans or walnuts on the cinnamon sugar topping.

  • Spicy hint: Add a pinch of nutmeg or cardamom to the batter for extra flavor.

  • Make ahead: Store in an airtight container for 2–3 days or freeze slices for later.
