THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

500 grams.Of 90% lean ground beef.

½ Cup.Of diced onion.

250 grams.Of sliced mushrooms.

1 tsp.Of fresh thyme.

3 medium chopped russet potatoes.

3 Tbsp.Of butter.

3 Tbsp.Of flour.

1 Cup.Of chicken broth.

1 Cup.Of milk.

2 Tsp.Of worcestershire sauce.

1 Cup.Of sour cream.

2 Cups.Of colby jack cheese.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Prepare a 9-by-13-inch baking dish with butter and preheat the oven to 400 degrees. Add the ground beef to a large pan and sauté it for approximately two minutes over medium heat, or until it begins to brown.

2nd Step

After that, add the onions and mushrooms and continue to simmer for about 8 minutes, or until the beef is fully cooked through and the mushrooms have browned, and drain the excess grease, then transfer the mixture into a big basin.

3rd Step

In the same skillet, add butter and melt over medium heat, and cook for 1 min after adding the flour. Whisk in the chicken broth gradually while continuing to be careful.

4th Step

After that, gradually add the milk while continuing to simmer the mixture until it becomes somewhat thicker. Take the pot off the heat and stir in some Worcestershire sauce and sour cream. To taste, add salt and pepper.

6th Step

In the same dish as the ground beef, add the potatoes that have been chopped, then pour the sauce over everything and toss to blend. After stirring, add one cup of the grated cheese.

7th Step

Add to the dish that has been prepared for the casserole. Bake the potatoes for one hour, covered with aluminum foil, or until they are tender but not mushy, depending on your preference.

8th Step

Take off the foil and sprinkle the remaining cheese over the top. Continue cooking the dish uncovered for three more minutes so that the cheese may melt. Before serving, let it rest there undisturbed for a few minutes.
