  • 1 can (10.5 oz) cream of mushroom soup
  • 1 cup beef broth
  • 1 tablespoon Worcestershire sauce
  • ½ teaspoon onion powder
  • ½ teaspoon garlic powder

Step-by-Step Instructions:

Step 1: Prepare the Meat Mixture

  1. In a large mixing bowl, combine the ground beef, cracker crumbs, milk, chopped onion, salt, pepper, garlic powder, and thyme.
  2. Mix thoroughly using your hands or a spoon until well combined.
  3. Shape the mixture into oval or rectangular patties, about ½ to ¾ inch thick. Place them on a parchment-lined baking sheet.
  4. Cover the patties with plastic wrap and refrigerate for at least 1 hour (or overnight). This helps the patties hold their shape during cooking.

Step 2: Brown the Patties

  1. Preheat a large skillet over medium heat and add a small amount of oil.
  2. Brown the patties on both sides for about 2–3 minutes per side, just until they develop a golden crust. They don’t need to cook through at this stage, as they will finish cooking in the oven.
  3. Transfer the browned patties to a greased 9×13-inch baking dish.
