Homemade Crispy Oven Fries

Directions:

  1. Preheat the Oven:
Set your oven to 425°F (220°C) and line a baking tray with parchment paper.

  2. Prep the Potatoes:
Wash, peel, and slice the potatoes into uniform sticks or wedges for even cooking.

  3. Soak for Extra Crisp:
Submerge the cut potatoes in a bowl of cold water and let them soak for 30 minutes. This step helps get rid of excess starch for a crispier finish.

  4. Dry Thoroughly:
Drain the potatoes and use paper towels to dry them as much as possible—moisture is the enemy of crisp!

  5. Season and Toss:
In a large bowl, mix the potatoes with olive oil, garlic powder, paprika, and salt. Toss well to ensure each piece is well coated.

  6. Arrange for Baking:
Spread the seasoned fries in a single layer on your prepared baking sheet. Don’t crowd them—space ensures crisp edges!

  7. Bake to Perfection:
Roast for 25–30 minutes, flipping the fries halfway through. Bake until they’re golden, crispy, and irresistible.

  8. Finish and Serve:
Remove from the oven, add extra salt or black pepper to taste, and sprinkle with fresh parsley for a flavorful finish.

Pro Tip: Serve these fries piping hot alongside your favorite dipping sauces. They’re crunchy on the outside, soft on the inside, and sure to disappear fast!
