Honey Butter Ham & Cheese Biscuit Sliders: A Sweet, Savory, and Buttery Comfort-Food Recipe
Honey Butter Ham & Cheese Biscuit Sliders are warm, soft, cheesy mini sandwiches made with tender biscuits, savory ham, melted cheese, and a glossy honey-butter topping. They are simple to prepare, easy to serve, and perfect for breakfast, brunch, parties, game nights, holidays, or quick family meals.
What makes these sliders special is the balance of flavors. The ham gives a salty, smoky taste, the cheese melts into a creamy layer, and the honey butter adds sweetness and richness. When baked together, the biscuits become golden on top, soft inside, and slightly crisp around the edges.
These sliders are the kind of recipe that looks impressive but requires very little effort. You can use homemade biscuits, canned biscuits, or bakery-style biscuits depending on how much time you have.
Ingredients
For the Sliders
- 12 small biscuits, baked and split in half
- 12 slices deli ham or leftover baked ham
- 6 slices cheddar, Swiss, provolone, or American cheese
- 2 tablespoons Dijon mustard or honey mustard, optional
- 1 tablespoon mayonnaise, optional
For the Honey Butter Topping
- 4 tablespoons unsalted butter, melted
- 2 tablespoons honey
- ½ teaspoon garlic powder
- ½ teaspoon onion powder
- 1 teaspoon Dijon mustard, optional
- 1 teaspoon chopped parsley, optional
- A pinch of salt
Step 1: Prepare the Biscuits
Start by baking the biscuits if they are not already cooked. You can use canned biscuit dough, frozen biscuits, or homemade biscuits.
Bake them according to the package or recipe instructions until they are golden brown. Let them cool for a few minutes, then carefully slice each biscuit in half horizontally.
Try not to cut them all the way unevenly. A clean split helps the filling stay inside the slider.
Step 2: Prepare the Baking Dish
Preheat your oven to 350°F / 175°C.
Lightly grease a baking dish with butter or cooking spray. A 9×13 inch dish works well for 12 sliders.
Place the bottom halves of the biscuits in the baking dish, cut side facing up. Arrange them close together so they support each other while baking.
Step 3: Add the Sauce
If you want extra flavor, spread a thin layer of Dijon mustard, honey mustard, or mayonnaise over the bottom halves of the biscuits.
This step is optional, but it adds moisture and flavor. Dijon gives a sharper taste, honey mustard adds sweetness, and mayonnaise makes the sliders richer.
Use only a thin layer so the biscuits do not become soggy.
