HOW TO MAKE LOW-CARB BACON CHEESEBURGER CASSEROLE
This Keto Cheeseburger Casserole has all the taste of a juicy burger, but it doesn’t have any of the carbohydrates! This low-carb cheeseburger casserole is going to be a hit with the entire family, and you’re going to enjoy how easy it is to put together.
One of my new go-to recipes for ground beef that is low in carbs is this one right here. It’s very full, it’s not too difficult to put together, and it always goes over well with a large group of people.
I’ve currently had a lot of inquiries about if this tasted egg-y and honestly don’t think it does at all. There are just four eggs in the whole dish, which means that there is less than one egg in each part. In fact, the eggs do little more than act as a binder for the other ingredients.
Try it with some pickles and sliced red onion on top and see how you like it! Please keep in mind that the total carbohydrate content of this dish will be affected by any extra toppings you choose to use. This would go very well with a side of cauliflower rice or a good green salad topped with whichever dressing you like most.
THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
250 grams.Of bacon.
500 grams.Of ground beef.
1/2 a large onion – diced.
1 garlic clove – minced.
4 Tbsp.Of cream cheese.
2 Tbsp.Of no sugar added ketchup.
1 Tbsp.Of yellow mustard.
1 Tbsp.Of Worcestershire sauce.
1 Tsp.Of seasoned salt.
4 large beaten eggs.
1/4 Cup.Of heavy cream.
1 Tsp.Of hot sauce.
1 Tsp.Of ground pepper.
Shredded cheddar; I used 1 cup.
1 Tsp.Of fresh dill.
PREPARATION:
1st Step
Prepare the bacon by cutting it into little pieces and putting it in a big pan with the heat set to medium. Cook until crisp, stirring regularly. Take the bacon out of the pan and lay it aside on a dish lined with paper towels. Drain the fat from the pan.
2nd Step
On the hot skillet, add the ground beef, onion, and garlic, and sauté until the meat is browned, breaking it up as it cooks. Once the steak has been browned and cooked all the way through, drain any excess grease.
3rd Step
After adding the cream cheese, ketchup, mustard, Worcestershire sauce, and seasoned salt to the pan, simmer the mixture while stirring often over low heat until all of the ingredients are mixed.
4th Step
Place the beef mixture in a baking dish that is 8 by 8 and has been buttered. Place the bacon that has been fried on top.
5th Step
Break the eggs into a medium bowl and whisk in the spicy sauce, heavy cream, and black pepper until the mixture is combined.
6th Step
When the meat and bacon have been coated, pour the egg mixture on top. Add some cheddar cheese for a finishing touch.
7th Step
Bake at 350 degrees for 30-35 minutes or until firm and brown on top. The dish should be allowed to cool for fifteen minutes before being garnished with dill and served.
