HOW TO MAKE OKLAHOMA NUT CANDY
Candied nuts are a wonderful snack to enjoy throughout the holiday season. You can put them in gift bags, sprinkle them over food, or consume them as a snack—either way, they have the potential to become quite addictive.
You can make candy out of any kind of nut! There’s no denying that candied pecans are a Christmas staple, but don’t let that constrain you. You could also use pistachios and hazelnuts. Walnuts, cashews, or even hazelnuts and pistachios are all good options. Your mix might truly stand out from the crowd if it contains a variety of nuts in different forms.
The holiday season is the perfect time to give candied nuts as a gift. Put each one in a transparent plastic goodie bag and tie it with a pretty ribbon. They will maintain their quality for one to two weeks when stored at room temperature, for two to three weeks when stored in the refrigerator, and for many months when stored in the freezer.
Candied nuts are not only a delectable treat, but they may also be used in a wide range of situations. You can make a salad out of them by adding goat cheese and fresh apple slices to the mix. You may use them as a garnish for ice cream, cheesecake, or pancakes. You may also prepare your own granola or trail mix by combining them with a variety of different dry snacks, such as crackers and raisins.
