S’ MORES ICE CREAM SANDWICHES

HOW TO MAKE S’ MORES ICE CREAM SANDWICHES

An old-fashioned dessert is given a gourmet makeover in the form of these ice cream sandwiches, which are a hit with both children and adults. They have a rich, chocolaty flavor and a wide range of applications in cooking. Wafers may be used in an original and creative method to create homemade ice cream sandwiches, and my friend Melissa is the one who came up with the idea. Even after being filled with ice cream, the cookies maintain their crisp texture, which is not the case with ice cream sandwiches purchased from a shop. If you make an old-fashioned treat with ice cream of high quality, like Haagen-Dazs Coffee, you may elevate it to the level of a gourmet dessert by using that ice cream. The children adore them. They are quite popular with adults. These are really difficult to top!

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

24 Chocolate Wafers.

3 pints.Of vanilla ice creams.

chopped nuts to coat edges, (optional).

PREPARATION:

1st Step

Remove ice cream from the freezer and let it remain at room temperature for a few minutes. Put the completed sandwiches in a big, deep container and place it in the freezer.

2nd Step

Have some parchment or foil ready to use as sandwich dividers. Fill small dishes with dips and garnishes. Being near the freezer is ideal. Put a mound of ice cream on a cookie using an ice cream or big cookie scoop.

3rd Step

Press down gently on the top cookie and place another on top (press on the centers of the cookies to prevent breakage). Leave as-is for a more rustic sandwich, or smooth the edges with the back of a butter knife while holding the container of ice cream.

4th Step

If desired, roll in a topping. Freeze the completed sandwiches by placing them in a Tupperware container. Cover the bottom layer of sandwiches with parchment paper or foil, then stack additional sandwiches on top to fill the Tupperware container.

5th Step

Keep going until all of the sandwiches have been created. To slightly soften the cookies, let them rest, covered, for at least 6 hours or overnight. The ice cream sandwiches should be stacked on a tray and served immediately before being eaten.
