HOW TO MAKE SKINNY MEATLOAF
Meatloaf. That’s a word! It’s not even close to being one of my favorite words. In point of fact, during the better part of my youth and well into my younger years as an adult. I couldn’t bring myself to consume the substance just because of what it was named. What about the way it appears? To tell you the truth, meatloaf could really need a facelift. In conclusion, I rated the taste as one out of five. I took the traditional meatloaf recipe that my mother-in-law makes, which is already quite tasty, and I gave it a little additional taste because, as you all know, I’m a little bit over the top when it comes to flavor.
This meatloaf takes scrumptious to a whole new level. It’s hard for me to comprehend how much pleasure it brings me. Eric asks me to create it since he can never get enough. To tell you the truth, I believe Meatloaf has a poor reputation. Between its etymology and its physical appearance. The unfortunate loaf has no hope of survival. I am aware that it can be a “love it or hate it kind of meal,” but I do hope that if you are sort of on the line between the “hate it” side and the “love it” side and you think maybe you might enjoy it with the proper type of recipe, you will give this a try because it is kind of epic.
THE INGREDIENTS LIST:
1 Tsp.Of olive oil.
A large diced red pepper.
A large diced yellow onion.
3 garlic cloves – minced.
1 Pound.Of raw lean ground beef.
1 Pound.Of raw lean ground turkey.
1 Cup.Of oats.
2 Tbsp.Of Worcestershire Sauce.
2 large beaten eggs.
1 Tsp.Of Seasoned Salt.
1/2 Tsp.Of black Pepper.
FOR MAKING THE KETCHUP GLAZE; I USED:
1/4 Cup.Of ketchup.
1 Tbsp.Of red wine vinegar.
PREPARATION:
1st Step
Set the temperature in the oven to 350 degrees Fahrenheit. It is recommended that a sheet pan be lined with aluminum foil.
2nd Step
When the olive oil in a pan of medium size has reached a temperature of medium-high, add the onions and the red peppers. After the vegetables have become more tender, stir in the minced garlic.
3rd Step
Continue to heat for another thirty seconds, or until the garlic develops a pleasant aroma. Take them away from the heat and remove them from the pan so that they may cool down for about five minutes.
4th Step
Combine the ketchup and vinegar in a low-volume container. Combine everything, then put it to the side.
5th Step
Put the ground turkey and beef in a large bowl. Add the oats, Worcestershire sauce, beaten eggs, sautéed onions/peppers/garlic, and salt and pepper to the bowl as well.
6th Step
Use your hands to mash the ingredients until they are fully blended, but be careful not to overmix them or the meatloaf will turn out dry.
7th Step
Place the meatloaf mixture onto the sheet pan in the shape of a loaf, and then cover the whole thing with glaze.
8th Step
Put into the oven, and let it cook for an hour. Take it out of the oven and let it rest for ten minutes so the fluids may redistribute themselves. Enjoy while it’s still warm!
