My family enjoys simple dinner ideas. Even though we have a very full schedule with school, sports, and other extracurricular activities, I still want to provide my family with nutritious meals. This recipe for Texas Toast Sloppy Joes ticks all the boxes for a quick and easy supper option. When you can have supper ready in less than half an hour, there is no need to go to the trouble of hitting the drive-through. Fast food doesn’t even compare to the flavor of this, not to mention how much healthier for you it is.

INGREDIENTS NEEDED:

Frozen Texas Toast Garlic Bread; I used 8 slices.

1 Pound.Of Ground Beef.

1 Tbsp.Of Brown Sugar.

1 Tbsp.Of Yellow Mustard.

1/2 Cup.Of Ketchup.

1 Cup.Of Shredded Mozzarella Cheese.

1 Tbsp.Of Italian Seasoning.

DIRECTIONS:

Step 1

On a baking sheet that has been lined with parchment paper, prepare the Texas toast Garlic bread following the directions provided on the box.

Step 2

While the bread is in the oven, start heating the ground beef in a large pan over medium-high heat.

Step 3

While it’s cooking, brown the meat and split it up with a spoon. The pan should then have any extra grease drained from it.

Step 4

After that, place the pan back over the burner and add the brown sugar, mustard, and ketchup while stirring constantly.

Step 5

Incorporate the flavors by heating them for a few minutes and giving them a good stir until everything is incorporated. After then, take the pan away from the burner.

Step 6

After spreading the sloppy Joe mixture over the prepared garlic bread pieces, sprinkle the shredded mozzarella cheese on top of each individual serving. The Italian seasoning should then be sprinkled on top.

Step 7

Put the baking sheet in the oven and broil for two to three minutes, or until the cheese is melted and the tops are beginning to become a light golden brown color.

Step 8

Take them out of the oven, let them cool down just a little bit, and then you can enjoy them immediately!
