Instructions

Step 1: Prepare the Beef

  1. In a large skillet over medium heat, cook the ground beef until browned.

  2. Stir in the onion and peppers and cook until softened.

Step 2: Slow Cook the Base

  1. Transfer the beef mixture to a 6-quart slow cooker.

  2. Add Italian seasoning, salt, pepper, diced tomatoes, tomato sauce, and beef broth.

  3. Stir everything together, cover, and cook on high for 3½ hours.

Step 3: Add Pasta & Peas

  1. About 1 hour before serving, cook macaroni pasta according to package directions.

  2. Stir in the cooked pasta and frozen peas 30 minutes before serving.

  3. Cover and let the goulash finish cooking until hot and well combined.

Step 4: Serve

Ladle into bowls, garnish with fresh parsley or shredded cheese, and enjoy!


Tips & Variations

  • Make it cheesy: Stir in shredded cheddar or mozzarella just before serving.

  • Spice it up: Add red pepper flakes or a pinch of cayenne for a little kick.
