Ingredients:

THE HONEY PEPPER SAUCE INGREDIENTS:

⅔ Cup.Of honey.

⅓ Cup.Of brown sugar.

⅓ Cup.Of pineapple juice.

¼ Cup.Of low sodium soy sauce.

3 Tbsp.Of apple cider vinegar.

2 Tbsp.Of lemon juice.

1 Tsp.Of ground black pepper.

½ Tsp.Of garlic powder.

⅛-¼ Tsp.Of ground cayenne pepper.

FOR THE CHICKEN TENDERS; I USED:

1½ Cups.Of buttermilk.

1½ Cups.Of all-purpose flour.

2 Tbsp.Of ground paprika.

1 Tbsp.Of kosher salt.

1 Tbsp.Of garlic powder.

1 Tbsp.Of onion powder.

2 Tsp.Of ground black pepper.

800 grams.Of boneless chicken tenders.

THIS IS WHAT I USED FOR THE CHEESY MACARONI:

Penne pasta; I used 400 grams.

¼ Cup.Of unsalted butter.

Minced garlic; I used 2 cloves.

3 Tbsp.Of all-purpose flour.

2 Cups.Of heavy cream.

1 Cup.Of shredded Mozzarella cheese.

½ Cup.Of shredded Parmesan cheese.

½ Cup.Of grated « Pecorino-Romano » cheese.

½ Cup.Of shredded « Asiago » cheese.

Salt and pepper.

Cooked bacon slices; I used 6 slices crumbled.

Fresh parsley for garnish.

PREPARATION:

1st Step

In a small saucepan over medium heat, combine all of the sauce ingredients.

2nd Step

Once it’s boiling, turn the heat down to low and let the sauce simmer for about 15 to 20 minutes, or until it’s thickened a little. Take away from the stove and let cool.

3rd Step

Bring to 350 degrees Fahrenheit a deep fryer or a big, heavy-bottomed saucepan. Arrange a cooling rack made of wire over a sheet of paper towels.

4th Step

Set up a dredging station. Pour the buttermilk into a large mixing basin. The dry ingredients (flour, paprika, salt, garlic powder, onion powder, and pepper) should be mixed together in a second big basin.

5th Step

Coat the chicken tenders with buttermilk by tossing them in the liquid. Drain the chicken tenders of any excess buttermilk before dredging and rolling them in the flour mixture to coat.

6th Step

Fry the tenders in batches of three for four minutes on each side, or until the internal temperature reaches 165 degrees Fahrenheit. Take them out of the oil with a pair of spoons and set them on a cooling rack.

TO MAKE THE CHEESY MACARONI, FOLLOW THESE STEPS:

1st Step

For this, you’ll need to bring a lot of salted water to a boil. To get the desired al dente texture, cook pasta following the suggestions on the box. The pasta should be drained, rinsed, and then returned to the cooking pot with a dash of olive oil to avoid sticking. Putting aside.

2nd Step

Melt the butter in a saucepan over low to medium heat. After approximately 45-60 seconds, add the garlic and cook until it becomes fragrant.

3rd Step

Mix the flour in with a whisk until it becomes a pale golden color and begins to bubble. Slowly add the heavy cream while continuously whisking, and keep going for another 5 minutes, or until the mixture has thickened and coats the back of a spoon.

4th Step

When each kind of cheese has been added, stir until it has melted. Add pepper and salt to taste. Toss the finished spaghetti with the cheese sauce to coat.

5th Step

To assemble, put the chicken strips in a bowl and cover them with honey pepper sauce. Serve the mac and cheese in individual portions, upon which you may arrange a few chicken tenders, some crumbled bacon, and maybe even some fresh parsley if you want.
