Step 4: Add Dry Ingredients

Sift in the flour, cocoa powder, and salt. Gently fold everything together using a spatula. Be careful not to overmix—stop as soon as you no longer see streaks of flour.

Step 5: Bake the Brownies

Pour the batter into your prepared pan and spread it evenly.

Bake for 20–25 minutes. The center should be slightly soft but not raw—a toothpick inserted should come out with a few moist crumbs (not wet batter).

Allow the brownies to cool completely in the pan before removing.

Step 6: Cut into Bars

Once cooled, lift the brownies out using the parchment paper. Place them on a cutting board and slice into even rectangular bars. You can choose the size depending on your preference—smaller bars are great for bite-sized treats.

Step 7: Prepare the Chocolate Coating

Melt the chocolate for coating along with the oil in a heatproof bowl. Stir until smooth. The oil helps create a shiny finish and makes dipping easier.

Step 8: Coat the Brownie Bars

Using a fork or dipping tool, dip each brownie bar into the melted chocolate, ensuring it’s fully coated. Let the excess chocolate drip off before placing the bar on a tray lined with parchment paper.

For a neater finish, you can also pour the chocolate over the bars instead of dipping.

Step 9: Let Them Set

Allow the chocolate coating to harden at room temperature, or place the tray in the refrigerator for about 15–20 minutes to speed up the process.

Step 10: Serve and Store

Once set, your chocolate-covered brownie bars are ready to enjoy. They should have a soft, fudgy center with a crisp chocolate shell.

Store them in an airtight container at room temperature for up to 3 days, or refrigerate for up to a week.

Tips for Perfect Results

  • Use high-quality chocolate for the best flavor.
  • Don’t overbake the brownies—slightly underbaked ensures a fudgy texture.
  • Add toppings like crushed nuts, sprinkles, or sea salt before the coating sets for extra flair.

These chocolate-covered brownie bars strike the perfect balance between rich, chewy, and crunchy. Once you try them, they’re likely to become a go-to dessert in your kitchen.
