LOW CAL SHRIMP FRIED RICE

HOW TO MAKE LOW CAL SHRIMP FRIED RICE

This recipe for Shrimp Fried Rice is the best there is since it is not only speedy but also simple and nutritious. Use this healthier alternative instead of one that calls for butter and other oils. It maintains its wonderful flavor while having a significantly reduced calorie content.

Do you need a tasty meal, that can be prepared quickly and easily, and requires very little preparation? This quick and straightforward Shrimp Fried Rice can be ready in about half an hour and needs absolutely no preparation at all.

It calls for pantry essentials like rice, frozen veggies, garlic, ginger, soy sauce, eggs, oil, salt, and pepper, all of which I already had in my kitchen. The only thing you may need to pick up is frozen raw shrimp, which can be bought in most supermarkets and is the only item this recipe calls for.

This time, to make things even easier for you, I used frozen veggies; nevertheless, this is also a fantastic method to use up vegetables that you already have in the refrigerator (for some ideas, check the list below!). You may include as many nutritious vegetables as you want in this recipe.

THE INGREDIENTS LIST:

2 Tbsp.Of olive oil.

1 Pound.Of medium raw shrimp (peeled and deveined).

1 Cup.Of frozen peas and carrots.

1 Tsp.Of grated ginger.

1 Tsp.Of minced garlic.

4 beaten eggs

3 Cups.Of cooked rice.

1 Tbsp.Of soy sauce.

1 Tsp.Of salt.

1 Tsp.Of ground black pepper.

2 Tbsp.Of chopped green onion.

PREPARATION:

1st Step:

To a large skillet over medium heat, add oil. Once the oil has reached the desired temperature, add the shrimp and continue to fry them, turning them periodically, for another four to five minutes, or until they are fully cooked.

2nd Step:

Place the shrimp that have been cooked on a platter and put them to the side. The carrots and peas, ginger, and garlic should then be added to the same skillet. Sauté for another two minutes, or until the vegetables have reached the desired degree of softness.

3rd Step:

Place the eggs that have been beaten in a separate bowl and push the vegetables to one side of the pan. Scramble the eggs once you’ve cooked them.

4th Step:

Place the cooked rice in the same pan as the shrimp, and then return the shrimp to the skillet. Mix in the soy sauce, then season with salt and pepper to taste.

5th Step:

Combine the cooked rice, eggs, and vegetables in a single bowl. Cook the rice over low heat for three to five minutes while stirring it often.

6th Step:

At this point, you may remove the pan from the heat and add the green onions. Place the shrimp fried rice in a serving dish, and then proceed to serve.
